Wow . . did I ever get some things knocked out this weekend -- - Here’s the run down:

· Took a roadtrip to Pullman to visit Kyle
· While there we played Kyle’s favorite game, Monopoly
· Made Sour Cream Pancakes and Whiskey Cream Steaks from my PW Cookbook
· Left home around 5:30 and saw the most beautiful sunset going over the pass with the mountains in the foreground . .it was pink and lavender and beautiful
· That night we were lucky enough to see a gorgeous sunset over the palouse in Pullman - - - - Kyle says they are an often sight.

Update 2/7

Well . .progress is slow . .but it is progress - - -

Went on avolksmarch yesterday at Northwest Trek. Was fun and refreshing - - the day was beautiful . .but it has been about 2 years since we've really done any so my little legs were plenty tired. Am enthusd and rejuvenated to start this up again.

Another bubble bath . . .writing in my blog . . . .dinner at the dining room table which has become something we both look forward . . . guess that's why they made dining rooms eh?

Have my sights on a couple things coming up . .we're going to Pullman next weekend to see Kyle and Stefanie and I are going to see South Pacific at the 5th Avenue Theater .. so things are happening and it's fun to plan ahead . .

Week 2

Well week 2 .. and a little progress made. I have to admit that I’m not getting too far in my book . . . although I am over 100 pages . . .just not enough hours in a day . . .These week ran out of coffee creamer and so opted to try tea for the week. While I enjoyed trying different kinds and especially a nice cup after work . . I must say that first thing in the morning good ole coffee just can’t be beat! It is nice to incorporate tea back into my habits but coffee reigns king to start the day!

While David and I were out on Saturday we did stop by a little Ma n Pop place we’d been wanting to try and split a sandwich . .. The place is darling and out of this world. We looked at the breakfast menu as well and it is “awesome” as hubby says! The place is Mrs Turners in Puyallup.

Did get some sewing done so I’ll update my dress production as we roll along. So . nothing earthshattering . .. but a couple things off the list . .. so at least I am making some progress . . .

Week 1

So like every New Years Resolution, it starts off grand. Once my list of 101 was completed, I couldn’t wait to start checking things off. But where to start? I toyed back and forth with what to do . . .and then couldn’t decide so didn’t do anything. 24 hours later things started naturally falling into place.

1/13 Played a game of Old Maid and Yaghtze with Hallie, Nathan and 91/2

1/14 4 dresses completed

1/13 Sumner Library – card procured (picked up my first classic while there – Little Women. I must say I am really enjoying the language and family interactions of the book and can see some of myself in each one of the carachters. I find myself smiling as I read and believe I am enjoying it more now than if I had read it at 12 – will keep you posted on my progress)

The Challenge

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

MY 1001 Days: Start January 12, 2010
Ending October 12, 2012

The Criteria:

Tasks must be specific (i.e. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of work on your part). I will document, as best I can, the completion of each task.

Why 1001 Days?

Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
